Why GRP/PAFS?
GRP, is a composite material consisting of heat-cured resins enriched with glass fibres and, for certain uses, quartz sand. It can be adapted according to needs.
GRP is more flexible than carbon fiber, having a higher breaking point and therefore a higher strength-to-weight ratio. The production costs of this type of material are relatively low, the production process is environmentally friendly and the life span is between 50 – 100 years, making it a sustainable product with a growing market share.
Thus GRP is used in multiple fields such as: automotive and aeronautical industry (structural elements, flooring, etc.), chemical industry (pipes), energy industry (wind turbines, etc.), sports products (surfboards, helmets, tennis rackets, etc.), electrical and electronic products, construction (as insulation material, domes, roofing, etc.).
